The Olin Business School is pleased to welcome you to the 2016 Olin Sports Business Summit, our kickoff event ahead of the 2016-17 Joseph S. Lacob Business of Sports Speaker Series.

First and foremost, we would like to thank all those who have contributed their time and resources to the Sports Business Program.  We especially thank Joe Lacob for his generous financial gift in support of events like the 2016 Summit.

We have a fabulous array of speakers from across the sports business industry who will be sharing their insights on Friday, September 30th in Emerson Auditorium within Knight Hall.  Industry executives from professional and collegiate sports, as well as experts from the sport financing, media, and marketing worlds, will enrich our understanding of the ever-evolving changes within the sports business industry.

Our panelists will touch upon topics including (1) how to build an NBA champion, (2) topical sports law issues, (3) sports operations and business development pertaining to the recently completed Super Bowl 50 and the soon-to-be new NHL franchise in Las Vegas, (4) the branding and communications aspects of rebooting a sports franchise, (5) sports sponsorships and (6) recent business developments in collegiate athletics.

Thank you for your interest in the 2016 Olin Sports Business Summit.  Game on!

NOTE:  The seating capacity within Emerson Auditorium is limited to 290.  Seating within the auditorium is a first-come first-served basis, so come early on the day of the event. There is overflow seating just outside Emerson in Frick Forum, where the Summit will be on display.
