Announcement and Call for Papers
The 2009 Seminar on Bayesian Inference in Econometrics and Statistics (SBIES) will take place on May 1-2, 2009 at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
As was the custom in the previous meetings, the aim is to feature presentations by young and established researchers working in the field of Bayesian statistics.
Because the number of out of town participants is limited to 65, please register as soon as possible. The registration deadline is April 3, 2009. The Program Schedule will be posted on April 1, 2009.
The site of the meeting is the Charles F. Knight Executive Education Center, which is located on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis. The Knight Center, which is pictured above, is a full-service academic and residential facility.
The meeting will start at 1:30 pm on May 1, 2009 to allow travel to St. Louis on Friday. On Saturday the meeting will commence at 8:00 am and conclude at 4:00 pm, in time to catch an evening flight.
To facilitate participation in the meeting, regardless of whether you are presenting a paper, some limited support is available to cover expenses related to travel and accommodations. If this support is needed, please request it when you register.Deadlines:
