Announcement and Call for Papers The 2008 Seminar on Bayesian Inference in Econometrics and Statistics (SBIES) will take place on May 2-3, 2008 at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business Gleacher Center. As was the custom in the previous meetings, the aim is to feature presentations by young and established researchers working in the field of Bayesian econometrics and statistics. Because the number of out of town participants is limited to 60, please register as soon as possible, sooner than the deadlines mentioned below. The site of the meeting is: The meeting will start at 1:30 pm on May 2, 2008 to allow travel to Chicago on Friday itself. On Saturday the meeting will commence at 8:00 am and conclude at 4:00 pm, in time to catch an evening flight. If you are interested in presenting a paper, please send an abstract no later than March 11, 2008. The Program Schedule will be posted on April 15, 2008. To facilitate participation in the meeting, regardless of whether you are presenting a paper, some limited support is available to cover expenses related to travel and accommodations.
