Fall 2014

Notes:

  • Full semester dates: Tuesday, September 2 - Thursday, December 4, 2014
  • Fall A dates: Tuesday, September 2 - Thursday, October 9, 2014
  • Fall B dates: Monday, October 20 - Thursday, December 4, 2014
  • Fall A course final exams: Monday, October 13 - Thursday, October 16, 2014. See instructor regarding timing for the final exam to be held during regular class time.
  • Fall B/semester courses final exams: December 5-17, 2014. Final exam schedules can be found at Final Exam Schedules.
  • No MBA elective classes will be held the week of November 24-28, 2014.

  • Please check course descriptions carefully for PREREQUISITE REQUIREMENTS. Students are subject to removal from courses in which they do not meet prerequisite requirements. Course descriptions can be found on the Academics page at Full-Time MBA Program Campus Groups. Click on Course Descriptions (pdf).
  • REMINDER as you consider the elective offerings: All MBA Class of 2015 students must enroll in the required course OB 5621 Leadership Development (1.5 credit). Details will be provided on the MBA Required Courses listing.
  • Please refer to the PMBA Elective schedule for evening course offerings. Course enrollment priority is given to the PMBA students during the first two weeks after registration begins. If necessary, MBA students are subject to removal from PMBA courses during this period. After that point enrollment is granted on a first come, first served basis. Space priority may be given to Specialized Masters Students in courses that are required in those programs.
  • Students officially enrolled in an MBA Platform may be given priority enrollment in Platform courses.
  • Please be sure to register for the appropriate section number (i.e., 01, 02). Section numbers listed here on the MBA electives are those sections designated for MBA students. Sections listed on MSF, MACC, or MS/SCM electives are designated for students in those programs.
  • Semester-length courses that meet twice per week will be scheduled for a 1½ hour time slot and will meet 22 times (24 times including the midterm and final.)
  • Mini courses that meet once per week will be scheduled for a three-hour time slot. This allows for a 15-minute break. If there is no scheduled break early dismissal would be appropriate. These courses will meet 6 times (7 times including the final.)
  • Mini courses that meet twice per week will be scheduled for a 1½ hour time slot and will meet 12 times (13 times including the final.)
  • Due to high demand, students attempting to enroll in all short courses (weekend and week-long courses) and other select courses will be directed to a waitlist. This will allow the Registrar to manage the demand, ensuring that the proper priority is given. MBA students will receive priority enrollment in short courses listed below. PMBA students will receive enrollment priority in short courses listed in the PMBA Electives listing. Approximately two weeks after the registration period begins, students will be enrolled or waitlisted (if applicable) by the Registrar. Beyond this two week period, registration priority is no longer applicable; any available seats in a course are on a first come, first served basis through the normal enrollment process in WebSTAC.
  • MGT 550H is cross-listed with a BSBA class and will follow the BSBA calendar throughout the semester. BSBA classes begin August 25. ACCT 564, ACCT 567 , FIN 560A and MGT 524 are cross-listed with BSBA courses and will follow the MBA calendar throughout the semester.
  • All MBA students enrolled in Olin School course work are subject to the student instituted and managed Honor Code regarding academic integrity.
  • Room assignments are tentative. Finalized room schedules will be posted. Weekday daytime classes begin at 10 minutes past the published time to allow for change between classes.
