Olin Sports Business Summit

INTRODUCTION

On Friday, September 29th from 8 AM to 4 PM in Emerson Auditorium within Knight Hall, the Olin Business School is pleased to welcome you to the 2017 Olin Sports Business Summit.

The Summit is our kickoff event ahead of the 2017-18 Lacob Family Business of Sports Speaker Series.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM  (To visit the program's website, click here)

The Business of Sports program within the Olin Business School has been generously underwritten by the Lacob family.  As such, we are deeply indebted to Joseph Lacob (majority owner of the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association), and his sons Kirk (Assistant General Manager of the Warriors, and Vice President of GSW Sport Ventures) and Kent (a 2015 Wash U alum, and General Manager of the Santa Cruz Warriors).

The Lacob family's generosity has created numerous impactful educational and learning experiences for our students, such as (1) new academic programming, (2) sports immersion trips to network with sports industry executives in major sports markets like Los Angeles and New York, (3) internship stipends which have allowed students to pursue work experiences domestically and globally, (4) numerous guest speakers who have visited Wash U, and (5) our annual Olin Sports Business Summit.

In addition to the Lacob's considerable support, we also wish to thank other key contributors to the success of our program.  The Theofilos family, Steve Horowitz, Bill Squadron, Bill Mendel, Ken Borkan, Sean Wallis, and Rick Schlesinger are among the many friends of Olin who have dedicated time and/or resources to help ensure the growth of the program.
