Diamond-Dybvig 36 Conference

Dean Mark Taylor's invited guests, program participants, and poster session presenters will receive travel and lodging information from conference organizer, Sandy Vaughn (svaughn@wustl.edu).  Please do not register for the conference using the registration page.  

Lodging

A block of hotel rooms has been reserved for this event at the Charles F. Knight Executive Education Center, located on the Washington University in St. Louis campus.  The Knight Center is located next door to Knight/Bauer Hall, where the conference will be held.  Please call 866-933-9400 to reserve a room and make sure to mention that you are attending the Diamond-Dybvig Conference.  The rooms will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

Driving Directions and Parking

For local attendees or those electing to drive to the conference, driving directions and parking information are as follows:

From I-70 (or Lambert International Airport)

1.  Go south on I-170 to the Forest Park Parkway exit.
2.  Go east on Forest Park Parkway through Clayton, past Big Bend Boulevard to Throop Drive (1st stoplight after Big Bend).
3.  Turn right (south) onto Throop Drive.
4.  Knight Hall (and the Knight Center if you are staying there) is located across from the parking garage on the south side of Throop Drive.
5.  Please park in the parking garage and proceed into the main entrance of Knight Hall to the registration table.  Ask for a parking validation ticket when you sign in. 

From I-64 (Hwy 40), heading west (from downtown St. Louis)

1.  Take the Skinker/Clayton Road exit and turn right onto Skinker Boulevard (the cross street at the end of the exit ramp).
2.  Go north on Skinker Boulevard for approximately .9 miles.
3.  Turn left (west) onto Forest Park Parkway. 
4.  Continue on Forest Park Parkway to Throop Drive (2nd stoplight).
5.  Turn left (south) onto Throop Drive.
6.  Knight Hall is located across from the parking garage on the south side of Throop Drive.
7.  Please park in the parking garage and proceed into the main entrance of Knight Hall to the registration table.  Ask for a parking validation ticket when you sign in. 

From I-64 (Hwy 40), heading east 

1.  Exit I-64/40 at Big Bend Boulevard and turn right.
2.  Continue on Big Bend Boulevard to Forest Park Parkway.
3.  Turn right (east) on Forest Park Parkway.
4.  Continue on Forest Park Parkway to Throop Drive (1st stoplight).
5.  Turn right (south) onto Throop Drive.
6.  Knight Hall is located across from the parking garage on the south side of Throop Drive.
7.  Please park in the parking garage and proceed into the main entrance of Knight Hall to the registration table.  Ask for a parking validation ticket when you sign in. 

Other Transportation

To and From Lambert International Airport

By cab: The fare to the Washington University campus or to any of the hotels (other than Union Station) is approximately $30 each way and cabs are readily available outside the baggage claim area. For reservations, call County Cab at 314-991-5300.

By MetroLink: You can take the light-rail system to the University City/Big Bend Station. After exiting the train, take the elevator or stairs to street level. Washington University's Danforth campus is on the southeast corner (Big Bend and Forest Park Parkway).

By car: If you're using a GPS, we're at 38.648432;-90.311909. Drive time from the airport to the Washington University campus is about 30 minutes.
