29th Annual Accounting Research Conference in Honor of Nicholas Dopuch, Hubert C. & Dorothy R. Moog, Professor of Accounting

November 10-11, 2016

Since 1988, the accounting faculty at Olin have hosted an annual accounting conference. In 2006, Washington University and the Olin Business School dedicated this accounting conference to honor Professor Nick Dopuch, who retired that year.

We are proud to announce that our external guest speakers for this year are Professors Rachel Hayes from the University of Utah, Valeri Nikolaev from the University of Chicago, Rodrigo Verdi from MIT, and Joanna Wu from the University of Rochester.

Day one will begin at noon with lunch in the Knight Center’s Anheuser Busch Dining Room.  The conference will open at 1 p.m. in Bauer Hall 330 with a welcome from Richard Frankel, Beverly & James Hance Professor of Accounting.  Three presentations will be given during the afternoon.  A Ph.D. poster session and cocktail hour will be followed by remarks from Robert Virgil, Dean Emeritus of the John M. Olin School of Business and Professor Emeritus of Accounting and dinner at the Whittemore House.  The conference will resume on Friday with continental breakfast in Room 210 of Bauer Hall.  After the presentations have concluded, a buffet lunch will be served in the Knight Center Dining Room.
