November 13-14, 2014

Since 1988, the accounting faculty at Olin have hosted an annual accounting conference. In 2006, Washington University and the Olin Business School dedicated this accounting conference to honor Professor Nick Dopuch, who retired that year.

We are proud to announce that our guest speakers for this year are Professors Thomas Hemmer from Rice University, Mark Lang from University of North Carolina, Luzi Hail from Wharton and Terry Shevlin from the University of California-Irvine.

This year's discussants will be Professors Elizabeth Chuk from the University of Southern California, Mirko Heinle from Wharton, Mark Maffett from the University of Chicago, Brian Miller from Indiana University, K. Ramesh from Rice University and Jake Thornock from the University of Washington.

Day one will begin at noon with lunch in the Knight Center’s Anheuser Busch Dining Room.  The conference will open at 1 p.m. with a welcome from the Olin Business School Dean, Mahendra Gupta.  Three presentations will be given during the afternoon followed by a cocktail hour and dinner at the Whittemore House.  The conference will resume on Friday with continental breakfast in Room 110 of Simon Hall.  After the presentations have concluded, a buffet lunch will be served in the Knight Center Dining Room.
