November 7-8, 2013

Since 1988, the accounting faculty at Olin have hosted an annual accounting conference. In 2006, Washington University and the Olin Business School dedicated this accounting conference to honor Professor Nick Dopuch, who retired that year.

We are proud to announce that our guest speakers for this year are Professors Tim Baldenius from New York University, John Core from MIT, Karthik Ramanna from Harvard University and James M. Wahlen from Indiana University.

Our speakers from Washington University will be Professors Xiumin Martin and Jared Jennings.

This year's discussants will be Professors Frank Gigler from the University of Minnesota, Marilyn Johnson from Michigan State University, Michael Minnis from the University of Chicago, K. Ramesh from Rice University, Nemit Shroff from MIT and Daniel Taylor from the University of Pennsylvania.

Day one will begin at noon with lunch in the Knight Center’s Anheuser Busch Dining Room.  At 1:00 pm, a cake in honor of Nick Dopuch’s  birthday will be served in room 210  and the conference will open immediately after with a welcome from the Olin Business School Dean, Mahendra Gupta.  Three presentations will be given during the afternoon.  The conference will resume on Friday with continental breakfast in Room 110 of Simon Hall.  After the presentations have concluded, a buffet lunch will be served in the Knight Center Dining Room.
