Changes for Fall Semester 2009!

New Print Management System at Olin: PaperCut!

PaperCut has replaced the printer accounting system we had been using for the last several years. There is an ongoing project to standardize on PaperCut across the University, and it is currently in use at Arts & Sciences, Sam Fox, and STS to name a few.

PaperCut at Olin is specific to the Business School and uses your Olin account. Your WUSTL Key will NOT work. We plan on moving our PaperCut to the WUSTL Key system used by ArtSci, but that will not happen until Spring semester or later.

New Printing Quota!

• Business Degree Candidates: $50
• Non-Business Students: $20

New Lower Printing Costs!

Per page printing costs have been reduced to be the same as ArtSci./p>

• One-sided: 4 cents per page
• Two-sided: 3 cents per page
• Color: 25 cents per page

Multiple printers are available to students in the Simon Hall computer labs. Details are listed in the table below.

Laptop Printing

At a minimum you should configure P-LAB-SILVER, P-LAB-EXPRESS, P-LAB-COLOR, and either P-LAB-MBA or P-LAB-BSBA depending on your program. Instructions are available for adding printers to your laptop.

Printing Quota

• Business Degree Candidates: $50
• Non-Business Students: $20

You can check your Printing Account Balance online at http://papercut.olin.wustl.edu with your Olin username and password.

If you have not printed to a lab printer before, you will not have a balance yet. As soon as you print to a printer, you will be automatically added to the system, and you will then be able to view your balance.

If you use up your printing quota before the end of the semester, you can buy additional printing quota in the computer lab. Lab consultants can increase your quota to whatever amount you would like to purchase.

Resume Printers:

Dedicated printers are available at stations 6, 9, and 12 for use with your own resume paper. Students are not permitted to insert their own paper into other printer trays. Students who only need to print out their resume may request, tactfully and within reason, to temporarily use any of these stations for resume printing if all resume printing stations are in use.

All of the network printers in the lab have the same features, so unless a printer is not working, there is no need to change the default printer. All printers will print double-sided by default.
