Connecting -- WUFI-S Windows Vista (SecureW2)

The wireless network is a campus network and is outside the Olin firewall. If you need to print or map drives to Olin servers, you must connect using the VPN Client. (Link to Download and Instructions)

Instructions are also available for setting up your laptop print to Olin printers.

Setup Instructions

1. Download SecureW2 1.06 to your computer and save to your Desktop.
2. Double-click the SecureW2_wufi.exe file you downloaded to install the software.

During the install, you will be prompted to enter your logon information. Enter your username in the format username@olin and your password. Do NOT enter anything for Domain.

Select the option to reboot your system at the end of the setup.

3. When you system reboots, it will automatically connect to WUFI-S when in range.

NOTE: Depending on boot times of your laptop, it may takes several seconds for the wireless to connect.

Verify Configuration

1. Right-click the networking icon in the tray and select Network and Sharing Center.
2. Select Manage Wireless Networks.
3. Double-click WUFI-S.
4. On the Connection tab of WUFI-S Network properties, connect to a more preferred network should be unchecked.
5. On the Security tab, verify that Security type is WPA-Enterprise, Encryption type is TKIP, authentication method is SecureW2 EAP-TTLS, Cache user information is checked and then click Settings.
6. At the SecureW2 window, verify WUSTL is the selected profile and click Configure.
7. On the Connection tab, verify Use alternate outer identity is checked, specified outer identity is anonymous@olin, and Enable session resumption is checked.
8. On the Certificates tab, verify that Verify server certificate is not checked.
9. On the Authentication tab, verify PAP is selected as the authentication method.
10. On the User account tab, verify the correct user name and password are entered.
11. Close all windows and go back to Network and Sharing Center, then click on Connect to a Network and select WUFI-S.
