How do I configure Outlook 2003 to access my mailbox?
Before you can configure Outlook 2003, you will need the following:
- Your username and password -- If you are a new student and have not received your logon information, bring a photo ID to the Computer Lab in Simon Hall (lower level) to pickup your logon sheet.
- A working connection to the Internet -- You will not be able to fully configure the software unless your system can connect to the mail server.
IMPORTANT!!!!!!!: If you want to use Outlook without having to connect with the VPN, you must be using Windows XP and have installed either Service Pack 2 (available after August 16) or Service Pack 1 (SP1) with the Q331320 hotfix. You can install SP1 by going to Windows Update. You can download and install the Q331320 hotfix from the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article.
